Edmundo Huarancca Gutierrez, was born in Ayacucho Peru, his Tapestries are made of 100% alpaca wool and natural dyes, for example he gets the red color from a little bug called “COCHINILLA” which lives on a tuna cactus.
He keeps the designs in his mind, so he doesn´t need any drawings. He uses precolombian designs such as animals, inca´s symbols and geometrical figures, in a modern way.
